Most things I say usually do , doesn`t mean they are though.

I prefer to use the term straight to the point

^ greedy is usually just a label to describe our primal survival instincts. Although for most people the modern world is no longer a "kill or be killed" type of environment (at least in the literal sense), we still have those primal instints that materialise in our behavior towards each other.

I side with Thomas Hobbes on this one.

ok, my argument is evil no, "naughty" (for want of a better word) yes. we behave nicely because it is social desirability- we all want to fit in with the social spectrum. however, every single being on earth has the deep, "evil" temptations- you know, "knicking the bike lying on the side of the road", "taking that fiver on the kitchen table" or "punching that wankers face in". we have to repress these desires yet they are always there. these desires are of course enhanced by factors such as TV but they are inherently there. they may not all be evil- but they certainly are not good. to me, a lot of time it seems asif im actually holding back a lot of anger and frustration and i just want to let it all out.

^ True, but the way I see it, the fact that we repress them is more relevant than the fact that we have these urges in the first place. We should be judged on our actions, not on our first instincts. I think the fact that we do restrain ourselves, that we act in a way that is for the common good rather than on our own selfish desires proves a lot.
