Eh quiet frankly I really don't give a **** about the whole common thing. Kind of funny how everyone is freaking the **** out over it. IMHO anyone who hosts poetry night at the white house shouldnt be president. I'm sure there's more important things to do then that. The U.S. is in a pretty bad spot right now. the president isn't a miracle worker. They have these kind of events I feel to boast the morale of the people actually working directly under the president.

Sure, he could be doing other things but having a few events like this doesn't hurt every single president that has been elected has attended functions like these. I'm not sure why you want it to be different for Obama.
