Har har har, I hold the door for everyone in my group, and the first person I dont know after my group has gone through (if they are close enough to warrant it).
This is turning into an etiquette discussion now lol. Politeness is offically a quirk!!

Either push your way in and let the other person catch the door when you notice too much are going through without saying anything or push the door close on someone as they are walking through and say that your hand got tired holding the door for assholes that can't say thanks.

I had one pointed out to me last night that I never really thought of as being odd until my friend brought it up and thought it was hilarious to watch.
Whenever I'm talking to someone I don't know very well, and they bring up some controversial issue which could, theoretically, make me uncomfortable, I always cover for being uncomfortable by just agreeing with them without actually saying I agree. Just to make sure the conversation doesn't turn awkward for the other person, because for some reason, I'm very opposed to making a bad first impression. Like, yesterday, this woman was hanging out with us, and mentioned that she was at a Phish show, and hated their music and they were crap and all of this stuff...and that she was just there to meet up with her friends...and I was just like, "Oh, yeah, that probably sucked being on lot. I hear that the cops at Phish shows are really cracking down," instead of directly defending my own opinion. I always, always, do this. I never agree with them, I just don't say anything that directly shoots down their opinion. I need to be less passive.

I'm always passive. Especially with my extremely religious Stepmom. "God is just so good. There are so many angels out there looking after you Tim." "Okay." The best part is that I'm intensely fascinated by demonology and all kinds of dark things. I don't really believe in any of it, I just think the illustrations are incredibly awesome.
If I ever do get a book on it, I'll make sure to leave it where she would find it. |

I've met a few Virginians and they seem pretty friendly and down to Earth, are these the type of people you want gone?

I think he's referring more to their accent and how they abuse the English language not their temperament
