haha! i see. ok, i get the point. i found a site that deals with grammar issues. i can't believe there's such a thing as "Filipinism", usual english talk used by Filipinos that are gramatically wrong in the real english word:

Filipinism (correct english)

I'll ask her an apology (I'll apologize to her)
Hand carry (carry on luggage)
At around 2pm (at about 2pm)
My brother is taking up law. (My brother is taking law)
I felt kind of tired (I felt rather tired)
I do apologize (I apologize)

wow. i wish i have known these things before.

gostan (go astern, reverse)
garment (government)
bank in the cheque (deposit a cheque)

and literal chinese/malay translations:-

don't play play (stop fooling around)
small gas (bad-tempered)
fly aeroplane (missed an appointment)
