But yes, big dogs play hard. If you don't play hard with them, they're being neglected. I can't speak for those people who own miniature dogs who have been so completely detached from their ancestry via breeding that their roughest moments involve leaping from the couch to the floor, but for full-sized dogs, there is a certain level of desire for equal rough play that is extremely evident in their demeanor and actions, if you haven't pussified him by being overly authoritative and isolating. Rough play is a bond-forming thing. Modern wolves still do it in their packs. It's a form of communication and expression... at least, much more so than talking to it like a baby and thinking it knows what the hell you're on about.

Definitly man I totally agree. It's a natural part of a dog's life, especially big dog's because a lot of the time they're too big to roughhouse with the other dogs. If you want something placant get a fish lol dogs need exercise and competition or else they get rowdy - those horizontal planks across the back fence are for a hole he smashed through because he was left alone and got bored

I have a really tasteless joke for why you can't keep pets... but I will refrain.

Oh wait, this is Il Duce.
It may not be a joke.

i think he meant he has a joke not that I'm joking

of course I'm serious, i had a black cat called "Lucifer" and she was extremely naughty, scratching my speakers and harassing my visiting aunt - my dad just dumped her at the wet market

Yea i have gotten that as well. Someone will be like "You treat your dog like crap, dont you care?" My response is clearly you dont own a dog thats the size of a human, they play a little different.

My favorite part is that I also just got a little kitty that weighs around 10 pounds so going from petting one to another is hard. I have almost knocked my kitty out because I am so used to petting this behemoth.

I have a schutzhund trained German shepherd. He gets to beat the crap out of people as a job, and loves every second. To him, it's just a big game of tug.

...yet somehow he's terrified of little yappy Boston terriers.

I don't see why your parents are opposed to you keeping pets, wouldn't they like to have something as a back up dinner from time to time?

Two days late, but hey, I like this piece of information:

Basically, Alcohol and (many, if not all) drugs are processed by your body in the Liver, as some of you will probably know for alcohol at least :P When you take antibiotics, and drink, it a) means that the two mix in your liver, which is bad news for some but not all drugs (some react with alcohol and cause problems, others do nothing really) and b) means that your liver is working double time trying to deal with both the alcohol and the drugs in your system, which is why you get the effect of being Trolleyed after one or two, as Keyliegh described.

Usually, doctors tend to be careful when it comes to that sort of thing though, in the sense that were it reallly dangerous for you to take alcohol with the drugs, you would have heard it five times before getting your hands on the prescription. You're probably safe drinking one or two, just so long as you don't go out and get totally smashed, but that's very much a personal, semi-informed opinion!
