People who go to extremely great lengths to make sure that people don't think that they're gay. Those who take something nonsexual in the upmost and refuse to do it because people will think it's gay or they shout 'no homo' after any interaction with a member of the same sex. This whole time I'm like "got something on your mind, friend?" If you were so straight you wouldn't have to constantly reassure yourself and others.

i used to record the simpsons on VHS tapes and i remember that eps well.

What grind my gears is contrarian ppl, you can't agree with them even when you agree with them they think only them can be right.

is it so hard to concede a point when you know it makes sense? can't you budge a little and go outside your little bubble? you can never win with them, there is no understanding or communication just stubbornness.

A good deal of post-rock "enthusiasts" have long kept me from enjoying Godspeed and A Silver Mt. Zion. Why? Because they tend to be music elitist fucks that shit on anything that isn't up to their standards. Seriously, there's nothing more I hate more in this world than hardcore post-rock fans and their attitudes.

Trees are freaky.

The trees around our apartment complex seemed to have suddenly bloomed over the course of an afternoon (wtf).

Also trees killed Marc Bolan.

DOWN WITH THE TREES

Software/Hardware companies that don't keep their compatibility, or even set their product up properly. Yesterday, I had an Asst. Fire Chief in here looking to get his wireless RTD system fixed. I do all the set-ups for each individual unit (since no one else here has the cognitive skills to grasp some of the concepts), and when I went to swap his unit out (Data Logger which is just a NetBook, Transmitters, and a Receiver), I went through 3 NetBooks before I got one that wasn't messed up in some way. Then I go to install the software, which I've done hundreds of times without incident, and all of a sudden it seems the software is incompatible with the updated version of the OS. Meanwhile the Asst Chief is waiting. He traveled a couple hours to get this done, and even cancelled some training exercises for the week because of the faulty unit(s). I had to let him know that I would need to find a work around, and that if he wanted to wait, it might be a while. After calling the Fire Chief, we all decided it would be best if the Asst came back on Friday. I felt bad for the guy. 4 hours of driving for nothing.

I did find a work-around this morning, which involved a search for a newer version of the software (which wasn't publicized anywhere), and then installing it over the older version, which only updated 'some' of the drivers and left some of the original configuration utilities in-tact. All undocumented.

We rely on other companies products to do their job (this is the only company that makes the kind of units we need), and if they don't keep up with the necessary changes to evolving technology, then our company looks bad. Then the **** rolls down hill to me.

Needed to vent.

They did. He was just sitting there all minding his own business when BAM! tree (drunk no doubt) walks out, slams into his car (stationary of course) with a huge branch and kills him. ****ing tree legs it, no case to answer as one tree looks the same as another (So? It's Plantism, is it? Hah! **** you!) and the greatest unsolved murder of the century gets put down as an "accident". Yeah, right. And the police dept all suddenly had nice new plants in their window boxes the next day. Wonder where THEY came from?
