Worst Rejection Stories

Have any?

I don't have any personal ones, but a roommate of mine told me that one time he dragged a friend of his (who was a bit overweight) to the school dance. My roommate asked the girl to dance with his friend and she replied "sorry I don't dance with guys that have bigger tits than I do".

bonesaw-orchestra 01-15-2011 12:54 AM

oh my goodness.. that's actually awful :( I think the worse for me personally was me stupidly (and probably drunkenly, knowing me) texted an ancient ex before I was about to leave on a 3 month trip for work. He totally pwned me because I guess I can't just break up with him then try to get sexed like 3 days later hahaha.. ouch.

Dayvan Cowboy 01-15-2011 06:41 AM

I believe that my hatred for everything began at age nine.

I didn't know what love was, but one day I decided that i liked some kid. I told him that I liked him and, of course, I got the response everybody has given me: "eeew you're ugly. get plastic surgery!!!". I was nine, and being told that broke my heart. Anyways, I still get told that but I'm cool with it

s_k 01-15-2011 07:12 AM

These people have ugly in their eyes, I guess ;).

Eitherway, no rejection stories here. Yeah, no one ever wanted to have me in their team in the gym. But that's because I'm exceptionally bad in every sport except badminton and basketball :D.

Apart from that, I always made sure the girls I told I like liked me too or didn't mind me liking them ;).

Dayvan Cowboy 01-15-2011 08:47 AM

hahaha, I'm so bad at sports that in grade six, my gym teacher told me to sit out of class

s_k 01-15-2011 09:24 AM

I wish mine did...

Better than being embarrassed in front of your peers, I guess, but perhaps having to sit out gym class would be pretty embarrassing in itself. A lose-lose situation!

someonecompletelyrandom 01-15-2011 10:21 AM

I'm super nervious and I'm going to ask someone out.
I'll probably be back in this thread.

Or not. Hopefully not anyways :)

A girl wouldn't go see a movie with me because I was poor once. Then in high school her parents both lost their jobs and all of their money. Was pretty funny for a minute.

Nope! I took the train home from school this weekend to babysit my sister and father.

ALWAYS check what's open when making a screenshot.

RVCA 01-15-2011 08:23 PM

I knew what was open, I didn't really find it relevant or important.

s_k 01-15-2011 08:24 PM

Your stalkers do, though :D

emostreetguitar562268 01-15-2011 09:20 PM

hmmm...so many rejection stories...which one is the worst...
ok, so last year there was this guy i really liked. I'd liked him for like 2 years and last year i decided to buy one of the flowers the student gov was selling around valentines day and i attached a note that said 'Will you give me a shot?' so he gets it and he makes me wait like a week and tells me he'll think about it and then like in the middle of the hall where everyone is watching tells me no because im too tall and too fat :/ i was so depressed i didnt eat anything on valentine's day except a piece of chocolate (and for me thats saying something, i love my food...)

Haha, I'm usually very anal about that, but I somehow always get distracted reading your posts. I'm not sure what causes that...

Eitherway, sorry to hear your story. Must be awful :(

Did you post that while laughing heartily and smoking a big cigar?

No need to be rude.

This.

The girl I'm with now (I've been with for almost four years now) I pretty much told her the day before I asked her out that I was going to ask her out, so she could give me a pre-emptive yay or nay.

I thought it was the smartest thing I've ever done.

But technically the' telling her you were going to ask her out' was asking her out based on her reaction.

Kirby 01-17-2011 01:52 AM

Yes, it was.
But, I didn't TECHNICALLY ask her out.
Just told her I had a question that I would ask her at school, to see if she was cool with it or not.

If she didn't seem into it, I'da totally asked her what her favorite soda was and brought her a 2 liter or something.

That's a real mind-effer man. But it seems to have worked.

Oh, I see. I think I'm going to use this!

I know it sounds stupid and all, but I've been with her for almost four years now.
It seems to have worked. :yeah:

It probably was :).
It's not exactly the way I do it though.
I usually just talk to the girls I know for a couple of weeks or months and at some point sexuality or love or whatever will come up. Most of the time it's safe to just say what you think. If you really (and I mean really) like her, chances are she'll at least think it's okay you do. Could be mutual. I'm getting better at recognizing that every day. Two in a row so far ;D.

downwardspiral 01-17-2011 07:46 AM

I've only ever been rejected once. I asked a girl at a school disco to dance but as she was about to give me her answer I sneezed and wasn't quick enough to hold it in/block my nose. I sneezed all over her hair/dress. Her answer was no and she kicked me in the shin.

Damn man, those blasted disco girls.
