Technically I'm mixed race, so I told her that, all sly

"well technically, you know I am mixed race you know wink wink"

turns out technicalities don't go over so well when flirting, she reponded

"You're not the right mix I like black boys."

Made me feel a bit ****ty though man. We used to talk quite a lot. And fair enough I only knew her for a few months, but I liked her so I thought I'd try my luck and ask her out. I just said "cool" and offered to walk her back to her bus stop. But she was all defensive and like "no I'm meeting my boyfriend no no" why the hell was she smoking a joint with me then? She made me feel like I'd asked something terrible like I asked for a BJ right there and then or something, or like I'd just asked her for a kidney. Just another aspect of people I dont understand, boggles my mind. Maybe it's me just thinking with my ****, but why was she talking to me so much if I'm not black enough for her liking? I'm not a lost puppy I'm fine on my own man, I don't need friends or pity or nothing, know what I mean.

I think the main reason she was weirded out was because you tried to take your friendship level a little further and she wasn't in it. You changed the dynamics of the friendship by telling her that you wanted to date her and that you like her more than a friend basically. She was fine being just friends with you but she didn't want to date you.

that's what I gather from that situation anyways.

i seem to recollect the worst rejection I had, was when I approached an English girl in a Cardiffian club was "oh, fark arf"

one of the weirdest "acceptance" story was when I was in another club, this tomboyish girl was staring at me, and I rolled my eyes up in disgust, and she came right over and started chatting me up, with the motive being sex - my friends told me I shoulda gone for it, but I was never into tomboys

that acceptance isn't all that weird.

Some girls enjoy the "chase" as much as guys do. The more you show that you are disinterested, the more they want to find out what makes you tick and so mystery/unobtainable.

I've even had girls that are insecure and immediate want to call me gay because I don't find them interesting/sexy. I'm like wtf, you aren't my type. I don't want to have anything to do with you "Fuck Off". I don't care if you think I'm gay just because I don't want your ugly ass.

well if she isn't your type which it sounds like then you did the right thing by rejecting her.

If they don't get the subtle hints then you have to be more direct about it

she was also trying to be "quirky" and interesting when she wasn't, really

i made an excuse and headed for the gents and went to another portion of the club

I would have been so blunt with her and just tore her down if she annoyed me like that with "trying" to be interesting

idk about the whole gentleman thing

if you were a gentleman in that situation, you would have just sat there and taken it all in instead of ditching her by saying you need to use the bathroom.
