I'm going to have to revoke my promise of contribution. I still don't have my laptop and my intended submission is on it, far from made over. :(

My writer's block has gotten the best of me. I think I'll submit this one in the next round.

I could submit an earlier draft of the same piece, but I'd want to know that people were okay with previously-written submissions. If not, I got nuffin'.

Alrighty. I'd like to make this into a semi-frequent thing, hopefully once the train gets rolling more people will hop on board.

I'm fine with that, personally. As long as it hasn't been submitted to the MB contest before I'd say you're golden.

I'm pushing myself for the Thursday deadline but I'll let you know if Sunday will be better.

What do you think?

Blarobbarg 07-31-2013 07:09 PM

I probably don't have time to do it this time around, but if I get a sudden burst of inspiration I'll submit it.

But I do have a suggestion for the next round. Why don't we make each round themed? Like, you can write whatever you want, as long as it has something to do with the monthly theme. Creative use of loopholes encouraged.

Just an idea.

I like it. I'll think of one for the next round.

Themes would be good as I had NFI what to write about hence the ****ness of my story.

Themes tend to confine you though, I'm not sure I agree with themes.

I might not be able to participate regularly if themes become a thing. I will attempt to but I feel like when it comes to creative writing themes work against you especially if you are getting an idea from somewhere else and it ends up not fitting the theme then you have to force yourself to be structured within said theme.
