The 2010 Musicbanter Awards - Nominations Round.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the open discussion for this years awards. Your opinions have been taken on board and a few changes made in the nomination categories.

All members now have the opportunity to vote for any MB member you wish in each category. This will then allow me to draw up a multiple choice list of candidates for each award based on the submissions of the community as a whole and will commence a voting round where you can vote for the member you want to win each award.

Please be honest in your voting and nominate the member you feel most accurately fits the descrption. This ensures that the vote is fair, without bias, and that your vote is counted but also that if the member you nominated doesnt make the list, you can still participate fully in the voting round and have your say.

DONT nominate yourself!
Only nominate ONE member for each category.

Please send your nominations list to me via PM or if you wish to do so, post it here in this thread. You have until 21st December to get them in and the final voting round will run from 22nd -31st of December. The results will be posted in the new year.

The revised list of categories are below.

Most Underrated Poster - The site's biggest underdog - someone who's positive impact on the forums is generally underappreciated or often goes unnoticed.
Smartest poster - The forums smartest member.
Most Missed Poster - The member who's presence on the boards you missed the most in 2010 due to their long periods of absence or inactivity.
Best Journal - The best Members Journal.
Biggest Drama Whore - The member who most often surrounds him or herself with drama.
Sexiest Member (male) - The male member with the most sex appeal.
Sexiest Member (female) - The female member with the most sex appeal.
Best argumentalist - The member who's best at discussing and communicating intelligently and effectively.
Worst argumentalist - The complete opposite. The member who's presence in a discussion is usually the most disruptive
Best Writer - The best writer on the site, whether they are writing a review, a summary of their day, a rant and everything inbetween.
Biggest music nerd - The member who's most knowledgeable about music.
Funniest member - The member with the best sense of humour and who often makes you laugh.
Angriest member - The bitterest member, a cynic who often responds with hostility and bitterness towards new and old members
Nicest member - The kindest member, always makes an effort to treat people well, with respect, and to be nice.
Biggest Troll - The member who's presence anywhere in the forums is most disruptive
Biggest contributor - The member who's posts and threads have contributed the most to the overall quality of the site in 2010.
Most Improved Member - The member who's somehow improved the most in his or her behaviour on the site in the past 12 months.
Most virtuosic - The member with the highest level of skill with an instrumental ability.
Best avatar - The best member avatar of 2010.
Moderator of the Year - The member of the mod team who has helped to moderate the site the most in 2010 and who's work and efforts are the most appreciated.
Best new 2010 member - The best new addition to the site in 2010.
Member of the Year 2010 - The overall best member of 2010. The member who we love, appreciate and respect the most.
Most Mainstream Music Taste - The member with the most commercial, mainstream taste in music.
Most Obscure Music Taste - The member with the most varied or obscure taste in music.
Best Thread Starter - The member with a consistent habit of making throught provoking threads that manage to bring the community together in healthy, lengthy topic of debate or discussion.
Best Mediator -The member who is best at controlling arguments, limiting negative behaviour but keeping the discussion fair, on-topic and interesting.

Best argumentalist - Janszoon (I'm still too scared to ever disagree with Janszoon, no matter what it's for you're the one that looks like a douche)

Best Writer - Gavin B (I wish i could write like him)
Biggest music nerd - Urban Hatemonger (I wanna be like him someday, he knows so much)
Funniest member - Conan(This was close behind Urban and TCS, but Conaan takes it for that tea thing)
Angriest member - TheBig3KilledMyRaindog(not really angry, nobody here is tbh)
Nicest member - AwwSugar (unbelievably lovely to everyone)
Biggest Troll - Stone Birds
Biggest contributor - Tore (you can't deny the fact that Tore is hard working, if he hadn't took that break he'd get best mod)
Most Improved Member - Paloma(she mellowed out a lot I guess, this is a weird category)
Most virtuosic - GuitarBizarre (guys good on the geetur)
Best avatar - Rezz(the Patrick Stewart avatar)
Moderator of the Year - Duga(done a lot for the site, detailed posts, posts often, etc.)
Best new 2010 member - Bob (Gives the awesomest recommendations)

Most Underrated Poster - SATCHMO (Very underrated poster, in my opinion. There are a lot, really. dankrsta also comes to mind.)

Most Missed Poster -
Best Journal - bacon wrapped, deep fried, butter (I'm rubbish about actually commenting on journals, but I really like this one. I also think James has a promising journal starting up there.)
Biggest Drama Whore - thirtiesgirl (Yes.)
Sexiest Member (male) - CanwllCorfe (Not the best at judging this, and there are a lot of attractive members, but he looks a lot like a good friend of mine, so I'll pick him.)
Sexiest Member (female) - Vanilla (Again, lots of attractive members.)
Best argumentalist - Janszoon (Definitely agree with James on this one.)
Worst argumentalist - Toao (I don't know if it was so much that he was a bad argumentalist or if he just pissed me off, but I vote him.)
Best Writer - dankrsta (She really does write phenomenal, well-though out reviews.)
Biggest music nerd - SATCHMO (Really knows his stuff in a lot of genres.)
Funniest member - Conan (Lots of funny posts.)
Angriest member - thirtiesgirl (Even the most innocent of threads resulted in her rushing into battle with reckless abandon.)
