I feel as though I have outlined WHY I did it and why I personally prefer it several times now. Probably because I have.

Actually, I dont even prefer it this way. I just assumed everybody else did as we did this way before and nobody suggested any changes when I gave them the opportunity.

But it doesn't matter now anyway. As seen as my laptop died yesterday and I also just can't be screwed anymore, I'm just gonna leave this open until the end of the month and then count the votes in the new year instead.

That sucks about your laptop.

My last post there wasn't actually asking why things are the way they are, but simply how it works.

My take on how this should be done, for what's it's worth.
No criticism, just opinion.

Seeing as this is supposed to be a fun project;

Nominations: By nominations I mean plural, ie; more than one nomination in the category per nominator. Maybe 3 maximum? No less than 2.

Voting: After nominations are collected the top 3 members for each category are put up for voting.

Why? Because during the current nomination round a member may not have voted for any of the final top 3 and their second (unknown) choice may have progressed to the voting round giving them the opportunity to vote again.
Again this will be done publicly (not via pm) as with the nomination round.

Why? Because it's more fun.
