This thread is almost 2 years old. Most of the votes were from back then so I don't know if you'll get a good answer.

Hey man, you need to realize something. I haven't even read the da vinci code, and you couldn't even pay me to read it. Personally, I think christianity is THE BIGGEST load of bullshit. As for the illuminati...I don't even know what you're fucking talking about. Sorry if I seem pissed, but I am, man. You shouldn't judge people on their opinions.

There is a difference between opinions and ignorance.

And making a statement like "Bush is going to get us all drafted" isn't an opinion.

you're welcome to believe what you want, but the point i was making was that people who think Bush is going to reinstate the draft tend to believe conspiracy theories as well.

and I'm a christian, so disagree you may but don't dare insult it.

Fuck you, bush.
First, a draft is a LAST resort option, and I don't think we were ever in that position throughout the war. And from a nonmoral standpoint, a draft is a political nightmare. Even if GWB wanted it (which I highly doubt), there's no guarantee Congress would have approved. Each congressman is representing their respective constituency; meaning people like you and me.

And since major combat in Iraq is over, any possibility for a draft is gone. Unless there's some imminent war at hand, I don't see anyone talking about a draft anytime soon.

Also, if you were to get drafted, you have no way out of it, unless you don't fit their specifications (which they updated not too long ago). You could always opt to go to federal prison.

Is being a Quaker still a specification for getting out?

Might wanna start believing in religion there Mister "I'd Do Anything to Get out of the Draft".

Hey, I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to offend.

Sorry to everyone else too, If I've been a bit of an ass. Or even a big one.
