The Seasonal Eggnog Thread
This thread will probably be bumped around the same time every year, because in most places it's only sold seasonally.
Eggnog is one of my favorite parts of this season. It can be enjoyed plain, spiced, or spiked Discuss your undying affection for this drink of the Gods. |

I've had that. In fact, I have the nog in everything this time of year. Last year I gained a lot of weight from those Eggnog Shakes at Jack n the Box. It took a stomach virus and weeks of crackers and cheese to undo that binge. And now I feel it coming on again......

Sadly, this thread wasn't bumped this year:
http://www.musicbanter.com/lounge/59...ke-eggnog.html I can close the other one or this one. Dealer's choice. Or merge. |

And please feel free to reign over the eggnog. I don't know why the last one was locked, but yea... Anyway, I can drink eggnog. (alcoholic version is the only one I feel compelled to drink) I definitely think it goes great with cold weather. Coming from an alcoholic who can pretty much drink anything, I don't know how much that opinion weighs, but I do like the eggnog mood. |

You can substitute eggnog itself with Mad dog 20/20 and it will still be great, in terms of how much easier it would be to deal with your family during the holidays (but not after), but I guess there's a sense of communion that comes from grouping with relatives that will drink eggnog over MD20/20.

Since I don't drink anymore (at least not until it's proper for me to) I have to stick with the non-alcoholic varieties, which doesn't bother me too much since I always felt the alcohol takes away from the noggy goodness.
