WAIT... Isle of Wight Festival 2005. I was there. Morrissey wasn't... but we all knew he wasn't going to turn up.

That was my least favourite one but I really did love that weekend. I saw every band but Embrace. I walked off to get food when they were on because I didn't want to get bored to sleep before R.E.M. came on.

Supergrass were a million times better than I thought they'd be. I'd been waiting since primary school to see them live. Razorlight did well but I don't think they should've been second down on the list. Faithless were one of the best groups I have ever seen and Maxi Jazz was even more of a legend in real life than he is on TV.

I think The Magic Numbers were the surprise of the weekend for me. I only knew a couple of songs but enjoyed every second of their set.

Ah, memories.

The Isle Of Wight festival strikes me as having very bland line ups year after year. My friend wants to go next year, but I'm not so keen.

They do tend to focus on more middle-of-the-road stuff, chart acts and bands from the 70s but they always try to get a big dance act in.

Bestival is better on so many levels.
This is my first post after about a year....I weirdly decided to pop by and saw this.

I still haven't done Bestival which is a crime. I'm hoping for Bjork as a headliner next year. If she turns up I'll definitely be there. And I think she'd be perfect for the type of festival it is.

Sorry I bumped this; I was looking for a thread on Faithless and I think this was all I could find. Then I started rambling...
