Not bothered by it, but to be fair I don't really care about it at all. I never celebrated it so there aren't any good memories attached to it, but who doesn't like getting a couple days off of work??

I'm not necessarily a fan of the holiday for the religious aspect of it, and I'm also not a fan of being dragged to midnight mass, but I do enjoy the spirit of giving and such associated with the holiday. People are genuinely nicer close to Christmas, excepting Black Friday shoppers here in the States (who are brutal, for those of you who many be unfamiliar with Black Friday shopping here).
I also really like getting to see my family, as they're kind of spread out. It's rather nice. |

I dont celebrate normally. Sometimes with the Christian side of the family....but I dont really mind it. I just feel its too commercialized. Christmas hype starts the second after Halloween ends and that just annoys me. Christmas has never really been important to me. I was never brought up to believe in it. At least there a good chance to see family and a lot of sales go on during this time. But the mall becomes a mad house. I try to avoid going to the mall for at least a month so I dont get caught in the Christmas shopping madness...

I wouldn't say I hate it, but for the last few years I've gone to celebrating the Winter Solstice with my friends and found myself having far more fun than Christmas day/ Christmas dinner. I always have to spend time with my step mom's family who are a prudish bunch and enjoy the smells of their own farts. When I was younger I usually just kept my mouth shut whenever one of them said something I disagreed with but the last few years I've been far more vocal at the dinner table which has caused some of them to rethink what they say around me.
I do generally like the feel of Vancouver around Christmas time, and I do miss seeing some of the elaborate Christmas light designs on people's balconies. |

I hate this so much, all the TV stations that play Christams themed shows could just shove up their ass, who the **** wants to watch a terrible movie every year, that is the worst part of Christmas, traditions. Do something new, have ****ing Palm trees be the new tree, Change it up a little.

Mostly it has to do with the weather, but I would say that I love it. It's been related to being free of school, and a bunch of teenage milestones that I won't bother getting into. Even though I'm misanthropic as you can get without becoming a shut-in, I still find some sort of awkward beauty in seeing relatives that I haven't seen in a long time. No idea why, probably just a reaction to the inevitable. Still, it's got to be one of my favorite times of the year.
