Staff that get mouthy to customers

Best to go with; "Drop the attitude, you're only a shop assistant!" in your best arrogant tone of voice.

It's not Starbucks.

Fuck off and get me a coffee.

I hate people who work in customer services and are either moody or they answer back, I work in sales and you have to have a certain rapport with customers. If the coffee shop wasn't a chain you'd think they'd go the extra mile. That said, I especially hate people who work in massive chains and they don't particularly think being good with customers matters - because of how large their employers are. I don't know what context it was in, they could've been a bit laughy jokey but the way you described it - the massive silence, it sounds like they were being arsey. I don't stand for it.
Massive pet peeve of mine.

Fuck yeah! The amount of restaurants I've been in and I've been served by some twat moody waitress with 0 personality. I go to restaurants because I want to be looked after and get my monies worth.

Haha I hate that you just used the word rapport, cos it proper reminds me of work so much.

It's a word that always reminds me of a manager in a slightly camp voice going "c'mon guyz! Let's get a nice rapport going with our customers!"

Your server obviously doesn't speak Spanish.

It's seriously not that hard to pretend you like your job. I don't know why so many people have a hard time doing it.

This.

I do it every fucking day.
Oooooh hello, yes I'll just hold the line for you.
How're you doing?!
You'll have to come in some time and have a coffee.

I don't want a coffee with them, the bastards.
I just want to sell them something so I get paid.

Pretending you like your job FTW.
Waitresses need to STFU or one of these days I'll kick them in the cunt.

I have to pretend all the time, but sometimes I do actually like it a lot.

I'm excellent at it too. It's so much easier when your customers, co-workers, and boss love you.
