Either or
It would make, personally, think a little bit more about sex. Particularly about STI's.

I don't think that has much to do with being emotionally invested with sex.
But otherwise: Go girl .

There were some guy right where I get picked up from school who was giving out bibles. He tried to give me one, and really just wanted to tell him that I was agnostic and leave it at that, except my religious mom who's shown disapproval to atheists/agnostics in the past was about five feet away in the car with the windows down. So, with a bass in one hand and a viola in the other, I just told him "no thanks, my hands are a bit full" and gave a shaky laugh, so he said "you can unzip your backpack". At that point I pretty much just ran as fast as I could to the trunk to put my instruments away. Then my mom asked me why I didn't pick up a bible, too which I really didn't respond to.

...I dunno. I just found it very uncomfortable.

he wanted to unzip your backpack to put it in? that's a bit off putting, i would've ran quickly as well.

but there are great stories there - division of an entire sea into half, a trumpet sound destroying an entire city, 10,000 laws which make no sense, some guy offering his virgin daughter to a man wanting to rape another man, bread falling from the sky, some delusional man putting evil spirits exorcised from a mad man into a pig which fell off a cliff, weird food recipes

i don see the problem with reading it - it's terrific literature, unless you're afraid you'd get converted - don't let the fire and brimstone preachers scare you

it's a fun read if you don't take it seriously

that's very true but they have a book that you can get if you want to read it like a collection of stories. I can't think of it off the top of my head but it's out there. I have read through most of the bible already anyways. I tried to test myself to see if I could do it. I made it all the way through the old testament but only through a few chapters in the new testament. I'm glad I didn't get to Revelations. I hear there is some crazy ass stuff in there.

I'm sure Kaimon already has at least one Bible in her house. No need to have strange men putting one in her backpack.
