We have cornerships and offies (off-licenses)

What do you call them?

I used to when I was a child.
Growing up FTW.

Who Says This!?

Nah I say offie if it's to the off licence. Hahaaha but we do not use the word TINNIES, that is horrendous but great at the same time.

Really backward Northerners.
"I'm going to to the offy for some tinnies, you want anything?"

Only really common people use it.
I usually say Tesco Express because that's where I mostly go.

downwardspiral 10-27-2010 01:52 PM

Tesco forever. So good. I wish I lived there.

TheCunningStunt 10-27-2010 01:55 PM

Tesco is THE supermarket.

Well, I suppose M&S is - but we're not made o' money.

downwardspiral 10-27-2010 01:57 PM

M&S is absolute dog****e, honestly, the food from there is nothing like it's made out to be. Although they do these shortbread cookies in the shape of teddybears and they amaaazing. Apart from that though, go away M&S and your overindulgent adverts you massive ****.

TheCunningStunt 10-27-2010 01:59 PM

Every time I've had food from M&S it's been lovely.
Their adverts make me want to make love to food, and for that - I dislike them.
The way the lady described the turkey around Christmas time, my God.
I feel like making love to a turkey.
