Is it normal that I stop the microwave with a second to go, after running across the kitchen, so it feels like I've defused a bomb?

No, that's just awesome.

Is it normal that I dream about dead kittens?

I never really though of it like I was defusing a bomb actually. My motivation is all about not having to hear the high-pitched beeeeeeeeeeeep that the microwave makes.

I do it all of the time. But that's because I always make food late at night. And my microwave beeps 5 times, even if you've already opened it.
