I don't mind armpit air on women if it's not so out of control. It's one of the sacrifices I learned to make being on Dead tour years ago when hippy women were all that were to be had, it seemed. Hairy legs... not so much, but If I were a girl I wouldn't wanna' shave that ****.

Equality? What does one mans opinion have to do with equality? I'm not stopping any woman from making the decision to refrain from shaving her body. I recognise that there IS indeed a double standard where they are expected to do it and we, as men, aren't. I have recognised that this is not necessarily fair.
But you see, the fact remains that the majority of women DO shave their bodies. The majority of men DO sleep with women who DO shave their bodies. Therefore this is what the majority of us are used to, it's what we expect and so when a woman doesn't do it and has hair in places we also have hair, it can be a little unsettling for us and this is why a lot of men don't find it attractive. Is any of that our fault? |

Just because it's a preference doesn't mean it's inequality because last I checked girls had preferences too.

The general seems to be more that it's a requirement than a preference. Generally speaking, I think men have a lot fewer "preferences" imposed on them by society, and that could be anything from body hair to weight to manner of dress.

It's not a requirement though.
It might better your chances at someone finding you attractive if you did but you are under no obligation to do it. You really think that women who are married or have long term partners or ones who have kids really care less if they have a few hairs under their arms?

Essentially, I wish it were more widely accepted, considering it is a natural physical trait inherent in every female, and not even a biological sign of poor health or weakness.
The fact that you don't personally consider it a requirement, and that you see the double standard means I don't really have a fight to pick with you, but generally speaking, males don't seem to be so reasonable about it. That's been my experience. /shrug |

The fact of the matter is, however, that underarm hair on females, is an unattractive trait. What's so difficult in understanding that, I haven't the slightest. It may be seen as a double standard, a blatant one at that, or a preference or what have you, but the truth is that despite what either of you females say, you're certain to shave it, especially if looking for a mate. Because in essence, it isn't aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. Everyone has their specific preference, but certain things are just simply generally accepted societal conventions.
