![]() So, V&F, you've actually hit on one thing I like about the Midwest (it has a comforting feeling), and one thing I *don't* like: the FOOTBALL! I just can't figure out why anyone cares who wins, yet football is HUGE here. You're right about that. Stadiums fill with screaming people and there are massive pre-game tailgating parties with grilling and beer. The best part about football games is when I go and sit in the home team side, and then cheer for the opposition. Kinda annoys the people...maybe they sense I'm mocking them. Mostly, football just makes me feel like an alien visiting a strange planet. But it is kind of exhilarating to hear the massive crowd shouting like a giant animal from halfway across a city.
