Unfortunately, for some, it's not really a choice. It's a safer alternative. LiL can get very sick if she were to eat certain foods that have certain things in them, so she's constantly having to check the ingredients on food labels to make sure she can eat something and not get sick.

Not sure if the question was pointed at me, but yes, I can eat dairy, but I really shouldn't because it makes me fart.

I eat eggs and dairy. I get my eggs from the farmer's market, there's a no-kill shelter/farm that sells a dozen for about 6$. Little more expensive, especially since I eat a lot of eggs, but I don't buy meat which is way more expensive. Dairy... I've yet to find no-kill dairy farms. And I have objections to the process, dairy farms aren't as cruel as slaughterhouses but they aren't kind and dairy cows do end up being slaughtered when they can't produce milk anymore. For that reason I eat very, very little dairy.
