I think I can relate somewhat. I have a deep love and appreciation for classical music, and one of the only places I can talk about it is MB. Because there are a few like minded people here. My friends like classical as well, but nobody wants to have conversations about the great pieces and the history behind them, or the Common Practice Periods, or the significance of Bach's death, or anything like that. So I went online to seek out people who would enjoy those conversations and from whom I could learn and be challenged. That's what brought me here initially.
