I feel like some areas of the eastern world aren't as racist as the western world but they do have prejudice and it's more related to religious beliefs.

What parts of the Eastern world? So far as I've ever heard, just about EVERY race on Earth has a history of considering themselves the chosen people of God/the gods. And I don't think it's down to religion. I think religion just becomes a way to codify pre-existing racist beliefs. Liking your people and not liking the OTHER people is just instinctual. If you don't think of the people not of your tribe as inferior and threatening then it would make it harder to compete with them for resources.
