Yeah that pretty much sums it up. It's poetry and some of it's pretty dark. the family just wouldn't get it. Then there would be a gazillion questions. Also, they are right-wing religious nut jobs.
He doesn't use a pseudonym, just not his full name. It would be very easy to find out a lot of info on him, but our families are in the dark ages when it comes to technology.
