I really couldn't give less of a **** about news stories about murders or kidnappings. Or any story where someone gets on TV and says that their prayers go out to the family. These are just random TV people to me. I've never met them, I will probably never meet them, and they don't matter to me.

And yet I can't watch those damn Humane Society commercials with that Sarah Mclachlan song. Or Michael Vick. Hate that *******. Or the dead dolphin story I saw on the news last night. Those all get to me. But not when they're people.
