Why doesn't he want people to know?

Not so many people are into poetry , but he is well-published in prestigious literary magazines. And recently he won a book prize and his first book will be printed and sold soon.

I want to brag because I'm super proud of him. But lo, I can just brag to people on-line that I'm quasi-friendly with. I suppose that it's not really my confession to make-- but it's the biggest secret I have at the moment. Hmmm.

I guess he has a pseudonym then, right? Otherwise people would find out.

Presumably, he doesn't want people close to him to read what he writes. A lot of fiction writers are like that because they don't want their friends/family to figure out what the writer really feels about them. Maybe this guy writes poetry that reveals secret or uncomfortable things.

Yeah that makes sense actually. Must be a bit awkward though if you're really successful and dying to tell people about it, or if you make money off it and people wonder where you're getting all this money from.

I used to do the same when I was younger but I didn't do it in a trying to hide it and be sly way. It was more like, I would say "smile beautiful" and take a picture of them usually catching them off guard and them hating me for doing it but I preferred more natural looking photos as opposed to posed for ones.

I have no interest in befriending men, I only am interested if I want to **** them or they are funding me, I don't even care tbh

Any reason why?

I've got lots of male friends. Some of them are gay though - that just comes with working in musical theatre lol

All of my best friends are guys. They just understand my sense of humor more and seem more enthusiastic about my company. I'm sex-oriented and entertaining, with a hell of a lot more energy than normal girls, and guys are attracted to that it seems. Girls I meet generally just act...well, resentful. :\
