You resent cops because we choose the job that we do, we do not however write the laws. If you choose to break the law, however, they choose to face the possibilities of the law getting involved. If you've got some weed, an illegal gun, out selling dope you've put yourself in that position. You've given yourself the chance to be arrested. And yet, you blame the cops for doing their jobs. Why is there never any blame on the criminal for choosing to break the law and choosing to put themselves in the situation where they are against the police?

SSSh drama queen, don't talk at me, like you know why I don't like police.

We've been over this. I don't behave like an *******. I do my thing, whatever that maybe in the privacy of my own home. I don't drive, and I don't don't bother anyone.
Last time I checked, police were civil servants, that do a job that we the people deemed necessary. We felt we needed to be governed, so therefore we created a government, and entrusted each of our states with it's own branches of law makers and law enforcement. Now it's become so outta wack that sometimes being a policeman means you get to do terrible things to people with impunity. And that's disgusting. I already told you, I don't dislike you personally.

Something you don't know about me because you just got here. I studied forensics, and got to know quite a few ex police officers, and fed's that are now retired college professors, and do you know what happened?

I got sooo fed the **** up with the inner workings of a broken judicial system, I am considering (when I get my funding back.) switching my major to criminal law. Defense, just in case you were wondering.

I don't trust cops, not as far as I can throw them. I think they bank on the average citizen not knowing their rights, and not knowing what those rights mean.

Yeah, she doesn't like police cause she's black. Or at least she claims to be black.

I'm glad you finally admitted that you might like me. And good, the system needs more fiery people like you. Too many people DON'T know their rights and cops get away with violating them. Know your rights, people. Do not let a cop violate them.

let me clarify... just cause i don't like the way i left this: i don't dislike cops as people. i've met decent ones and ****ty ones just like any other job. my drunken post was more i dislike some aspects of what that job represents/entails... but i like/respect other aspects of it as well.

but i think its a bit BS for cops to say "hey buddy we just enforce the rules we don't write em." that's following the same logic as the nazis 'just following orders.' at the end of the day if you are willing to compromise your principles to make a buck then just say that. or if you actually agree with the law then say that. i can respect either one of those stances more than "i don't agree with the law but i chose as my career to enforce it and oh btw i also assume the moral high ground"

that's a bit like being a vegan who works as a butcher, imo.
