Not down playing it at all, it's a pretty serious thing. I just think it's sad how some people put celebrities on a pedestal and get off on being intrusive.

Edit: I'm so out of the loop I didn't even know about the ScarJo thing, lol. TBH, I'm not even sure which one she is.

Celebrities get put on a pedestal because of their fame and the industry that they decided to work in. It is the price of being famous.

Agreed. It's just not for me.

I'm one of those people who think scientists/doctors/etc should be making more money than entertainers/athletes. I recognize the importance of entertainment but I value the progression of society, humans, and education over fun.

Did you see all the photos? Jennifer Lawrence's body is incredible. I at the same time feel really bad for looking at them all. Apparently she's horrified and is worried about losing future roles because of it. Poor thing I can't imagine how bad it would feel to have the whole world looking at my intimate nudes. Online, people are making such disgusting comments and congratulating the hacker like he's a hero.

Celebrities are human beings. They, like us are allowed to take nudes to share with their partners and store it privately. I feel people blaming the celebrities for taking the nudes is like saying a rape victim is to blame for wearing a short skirt.

Jennifer Lawrence definitely has a great body, but I don't feel the same ridiculous uber-lust that a lot of the redditors seem to. Like a celebrity's body is some kind of holy artifact that is usually kept hidden from the public in the Vatican, and they're somehow gaining some great victory over life itself by getting a peak at it. Dude, it's a woman's body, not the Second Coming. Calm down and go look at some real porn. Kate Upton's breasts are the exception though...

I actually didn't expect her body to be so amazing tbh. You're right though. I think the hype of it is because usually celebrities are so far from our reach, they are idolised, their every word is followed online and so when people get access to something so personal and normally unattainable it gets blown up as a big deal.

I've seen a couple as they got posted/embedded on another forum I use but didn't go looking for them. Only heard of a couple of these people.

Pretty big story though.

This is another reason why I probably won't view them. Not just this but dodgy shit online in general, decided to stop after James Foley's family begged people not to watch that beheading video (too late for me at that point but won't watch again).

Yeah it's really sexual exploitation when you think about it. It's non consensual. I understand some people find it hard not to check out something that's considered big news or controversial but that doesn't make it okay.

I definitely would not watch the beheading, that stuff freaks me out big time. I would gain nothing from watching it and it would most likely give me nightmares later on. The family are right to ask people to not watch it.

I never saw the appeal of celeb nudes and agree that's it pretty invasive and creepy. woopdiwoop, so-and-so's tits. There are literally trillions if not more pictures of consenting titties on the internet and you're gonna fetishize ones that didn't agree to be shared? Lowly, I think it is.

anyways... i have a whiny confession:

I have a really frustrating tendency to grow inappropriately attached to female friends. And, since I've always had a hard time relating to men and keeping male friends almost all the friends I've ever had have been female. So it's this frustrating cycle where I make a friend of a girl with no other intentions, then I get interested, and then I **** up the friendship. It's happened so many damned times. I gotta make some better guy-friends and shape up about platonic relationships but it's hard to keep myself in check.

Yep curiosity got the best of me. I feel like I missed some of them but I've seen quite a bit from different actresses. Both pics and vids all the real ones and fakes. There were even pics compiled to show that the real ones were authentic even though some of their PR teams were in full force denying it. I'm just all over celeb gossip stuff so finding such a scandal with so many of them all in one place was like a mecca. I do feel bad for them overall but was more concerned with Apple having lax security. Supposedly they fixed the issue but **** Apple all together. The loser that hacked the picture only got about 120 bucks for a set of pics that he ended up selling. He's going to end up in jail for 120 bucks.

That's a bit of a stretch and reminds me of a comment I read where this girl accused a guy of raping the pics because he made a masturbation joke.
