Default The Coffee & Tea Thread

I used to drink a lot of coffee back in the days. For some years, I also used to work at a cafè where I like to think I made some very nice cappucinos. However, when I quit smoking, I simply had to quit coffee as well. Drinking a cup of coffee just brought on the cigarette cravings - the association was just too strong. Coffee along with a handrolled cigarette used to be my favourite daily treat and I still miss it.

So, I gave up coffee and started drinking tea instead. Quite a lot of it too, I guess commonly a litre or more each day. My favourite blends are earl greys and if I see an earl grey I haven't tried, I have to get it! My favourite so far I guess must be a London blue earl grey with some blue flowers in it that I got as a present from my GF from a local tea shop around here somewhere. Brilliant!

Most of the tea I drink is the inexpensive kind though Ahmad Earl Grey is fine and good old PG tips are alright in a pinch!

So what do you think? Got any favourites?

edit :

I love tea. I used to really like jasmine tea, but after not drinking it for a while, it kind of lost it's appeal to me. My favorite is any kind of mint tea.

I use to have a thermos of green tea on the walk to work every morning back when I was at the lumberyard. I felt it helped keep me awake better than coffee, plus the tea bags were reusable, so when I got to work I could pour some more hot water into them and hop on my forklift and go about my day.

Now I seem to prefer coffee over tea, specifically lattes. I've found this little hole in the wall coffee shop nearby that makes the best latte I have ever had. I've done some traveling and actively visit places where people say "This is the best coffee I have ever had", but all have failed in comparison to Bibo's. Their house blend is a little weak, but everything else I've had from them has been amazing. The worst thing about their location though is that they don't have wifi. I mean what kind of coffee shop doesn't have wifi?

Anyhow I digress.

I drink an assload of coffee all day long. Nothing goes better with a cigarette than coffee, and I smoke an assload of cigarettes all day long. I do like to imbibe of a lot of herbal infusions as well. My favorite is a blend of hops, valerian root, chamomile, lavender, and kava kava... so nice.

As far as basic tea goes, I love black tea. I also enjoy infusions quite a bit, especially peppermint and chamomile. I always add honey.

I cannot drink coffee. I decided to give it another chance at Relay For Life last night (to help me stay awake) and I couldn't even finish half a cup of double cream. Ended up dumping it.

I drink about 5 cups of green tea every day, I love that stuff. Usually one cup of black tea as well.

I used to drink coffee all the time when I was stoned, which was most days at one point. But like some of you guys, I've stopped smoking now, and I only have a cup of coffee once or twice a month these days. Tea ftw!
