Really? It seemed for a while here that it was some sort of fad to drink Rooibos tea. I was a freak for NOT drinking it.

Anyway...I love coffee and tea. Coffee all morning long, plain cream and sugar. Then in the afternoon it's herbal tea, usually raspberry hibiscus. It's lovely.

The coffee here is absolute sh*t. Starbucks is an abomination to coffee and that makes me sad because I love coffee. We've got a choice between starbucks, caribou coffee (I mean c'mon the name alone..) and various mom and pop shops that aren't much better *laments*

I agree. Its virtually impossible to find decent coffee in Auckland CBD. Mostly because its so small, but being jam-packed with Starbucks everywhere cant help. I'm a sucker for Mocha's, but the best one I had, I made myself. The ones at Starbucks are disgusting, and cost like $6. So exploiting

It is hard to find good coffees/cappucinos (always get cappos) here as well, even in restaurants. I'm so often disappointed that I don't often get them anymore. I mean, coffee at restaurants is f-ing expensive as well. You may pay as much as 5~6 US dollars or more for a cup here while you can get 100 cups of tea at home for the same price.

So, any brand recommendations? I mentioned Ahmad Earl Grey in my first post which I personally think is okay.

Last one I got was this one, a ceylon (Sri Lanka) Earl Grey tea which is very fresh and fruity. Not a favourite, but it's good!

And I think one of the worst cups I've had recently was this one.

Not fresh, just bitter and boring. Doesn't even taste like a proper earl grey. Where's the nice bergamot?

I used to drink a lot of coke but my staple caffeine supply comes in the form of tea nowadays, and there's nothing better for keeping warm in the winter. I wouldn't exactly call myself a tea connoisseur but Earl Grey is my preference. I never really liked green tea. I sometimes drink coffee too - I currently have a tin of that Moccona dark blend.

As you can tell, I'm not really succeeding at reducing my dependency on caffeine... it's a losing battle

1. Moccha
2. Earl Grey tea
3. Oolong tea
4. Camomile tea
5. Frappucino

Hopefully gonna get a Moka for my birthday, so will hopefully be making decent coffee then.

Been trying some of that Cafe Noir instant espresso stuff recently. It's not great.

I adore Earl Grey, but what gets me out of bed in the morning is this:
