Yea I think Phoebe was only second in doucheness to Ross. It was embarrassing to know Ross existed, even in fictional television shows. And Phoebe was just too dumb to even take pleasure in laughing at without feeling like you're going to hell. She was borderline mentally retarded. Then Joey... poor guy.. poster child of a large percentage of the population of males, but he somehow managed to make that population look better by being completely void of any common sense.
Rachael, couldn't stand her whole act. I'd never be able to date a girl that dependent on absolute shit.
Monica was hot enough for me to not really focus on her character's flaws, so I can't really bring any to mind.

But yea, sorry for being the pessimistic asshole. It's pretty much the only thing I'm passionate about. Being a pessimistic asshole.

He's the one who makes the smallest impression on me. He actually makes no impression on me at all. It's why I don't rank him.
It's probably good though, because if he did make an impression on me, I'm pretty sure it would be a negative one. All I can say is he's not as annoying as most of the other ones.

Love them all, but Rachel or Chandler. No, definitely Chandler. Hands down. He's my soulmate

I'm a people critic. Even moreso than a music critic or an art critic or an ideals critic or a philosophy critic or a politics critic. I just seem to have more of an interest in having people and their behaviors under a microscope than anything else. I guess a lot could be said about that, in context with distracting myself from my own flaws, but I'm the harshest critic of myself and to me, it's healthy.

It's just easier to say something about fictional characters like the ones in Friends because they're fictional and won't hurt anyone in particular, but they're also representations of the people who identify with them on certain levels and I think that speaks more to my interest than sitting around idly and watching someone else live their fake lives.

The only person who I know that doesnt like it is my mum. And I dont really think thats counts, seeing as her idea of a good tv show is Coronation St and 24

You put much more thought into this that I do. When I watch Friends I just watch it, I dont really analyze. But thats not the point.

It is healthy, and I see where your coming from. I'm a bit of a critic myself, but of more superficial things, not really judgement of character. Im far too lazy for that. I'm interested in your philosophy critisism though. I took a course in it not to long ago and I'd like to hear your opinion on the whole matter, if thats okay?

Well I don't particularly criticize philosophy in general. I'm more a critic of certain human tendencies to subscribe to certain philosophies and how it reflects on them. But that's a whole different can of worms that needs its own thread and populous, complete with convenient examples.

Anyway, I never get enjoyment out of just idly watching something on TV. The majority of the stuff I watch is either educational or thought-provoking. I do like comedy as well, but that's sort of a mood thing for me. Otherwise, there needs to be some kind of stimulation.
