Well, it was supposed to be a joke :p: so I see it worked out fine

Those dots, I believe theyre called ellipsis (which is quite a cool name for "three little points of suspension") indicate that you may have something along the lines of a girlfriend/cheting/break sort of situation, that you're not telling.

Do you? Or am I just being neurotic?

Dr.Seussicide 07-29-2010 08:47 PM

Well, It's not like I'm not telling, but yes it has happened. And it really does fucking suck, especially when the person they cheat on you with is fucking nothing. But I digress.

Oh and ellipsis is my favourite punctuation name btw. And parentheses - who comes up with this shit?

glastonelle 07-29-2010 08:51 PM

She ment a lot to you, huh? That sucks :( And I'm not quite sure if by 'f*cking nothing' that means some sort of human vibrator or someone you really dont like. Explain, my imagination is running wild

Parentheses! Wow, whats that?

Yeah she meant a lot... "fucking nothing" is not a vibrator! Why would your mind go there?! "fucking nothing" is a guy, who is fucking nothing, because he'll never care for her like I do.

Parentheses are these cute things ( ) brackets, lol

glastonelle 07-29-2010 09:06 PM

I dont know, my subconscious is a bit of a mystery, espescially to me

I'm sorry about the girl, and it sounds like you still like (love?) her, no matter what she did with the f*cking nothing guy. Have you two broken up, or on a break or still together?

Huh, and there was me thinking they were just called brackets. The world of words, its fascinating.

I'm sure it's a mystery to everyone

Well, it's is hard to stop loving someone (yeah..love) but I'm done with it. So it's time to move on and find someone new. Can't really face her much either way.

It's sad but apart from having favourite punctuation, I also have a favourite literary device - litotes, lol

glastonelle 07-29-2010 09:19 PM

^ I get that a lot

Come to NZ. You'll have girls flocking to get with the exotic Trinidad guy who's a hopeless romantic and has a manly dog called Spaz :D

Ok, I have no idea what a litotes is, but its sounds like a plural, so please explain. I've always liked my ellipses', but have a thing for enjambment. Not sure why, its not particularly great. May just be the word?

Dr.Seussicide 07-29-2010 09:23 PM

Haha, New Zealand sounds swell  I'd actually really like to visit there at least one!

Litotes are like... understatements. Like instead of saying Inception was amazing, I'd say, "yeah it was kinda great". A bit sarcastic, but then again, I love sarcasm :D

I have no idea what an enjambment is. *googling*

glastonelle 07-29-2010 09:30 PM

I like the sound of these litotes. Although you can sound like a bit of a smug bastard sometimes. I love sarcasm too, but in all fairness, I thought Inception was much more amaizng than 'kinda great'

Enjambment's pretty boring, but I still like it. Its the sound of the word, like pirouette and baguette, its French. Plus, if you look at it for a while, you can sort of make out the word 'lamb' in it. Even then I dont know why I like it, but its good to see I learnt one thing in English :D

Dr.Seussicide 07-29-2010 09:40 PM

Well, maybe I do come off as a smug bastard, but a funny smug bastard  And don't worry, I couldn't even talk after inception - I was speechless, lol. Truly amazing movie.

Enjambent is a bit boring but still it's a cool word. And I'm not seeing lamb as yet, even as I tilt my head. Maybe you're hungry? lol
