Parks and Recreation is a meh show. It definitely has some funny moments but a lot of the attempts just fall flat IMO. With that being said, Ron Swanson is a great character.

I think that the show has enough redeemable qualities to bring it from bad to mediocre.

In general biopics don't really do anything for me. I thought Gandhi, The Social Network, and Lincoln were snoozefests (fine acting notwithstanding). My Left Foot and Man On the Moon are the only examples of biopics I really liked that come to mind.

That's what happens when Hollywood needs to step in to make it "interesting". Real life can be far stranger than silly biopics.
