Whiskey>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Vodka
Idk if this is an unpopular opinion, but most people I know love vodka, but can't stand whiskey. Whiskey's my favorite drink, though, especially Crown Royal... yum.

Physical special effects are way superior to CGI.

But I mean, even crappy little puppets is way more satisfying to see than subpar CGI.
I still think some of the most aesthetically pleasing special effects work is from older films. Like Blade Runner, 2001, the original Star Wars trilogy, etc. Hell, even in terms of CGI, films like Jurassic Park and Terminator 2 still have better CGI than a lot of the lazy crap Hollywood churns out today. There are films like the LOTR trilogy and Avatar where the CGI is at it's peak in quality and it's really damn good but overall most CGI fails to immerse because most of the time it's so obviously CGI. Stuff like makeup, animatronics, live sets, models, stop motion and what not works way better because these things have a true physical presence, even if they lack the detail of some CGI they still feel more real because they ARE real, in a way. |
