Just a few things that usually get people pretty heated when I talk about them:
  • People without celiac disease/gluten intolerance need to stop preaching the benefits of eating modified foods like they're some kind of dietary miracle. Some of us eat like this to stay alive. You're just being a pretentious turd.
  • Minivans are completely unnecessary vehicles.
  • Animals > children.
  • Cutting your hair is unnecessary, expensive, and kind of silly.
  • Nose rings are gross.
  • Men should not be allowed to control any issue that concerns women; how would they like it it women made laws to control the bodies of men?
  • Sexuality and gender are two completely different things.
  • It's not fair to tell a woman not to have an opinion, or to be quiet, or agreeable, or any other stupid shit like that. I will not be quiet; I will be heard.
  • The army is little more than a business of brainwashing and government profit. It should be avoided at all costs; no matter how much money they offer a soldier in training, it's not worth it at all.

American comedies are absolutely rank.
I'd rather gouge my eyes with toothpicks before enduring How I Met Your Mother or any of the like.

I agree. On the other hand, Brit sitcom is only funny about 5% of the time. And that's being generous. Most of it is unwatchable. Even the good ones are only funny in brief, fleeting moments.

Seen bits of it, not something I'd actively watch.
Glad Gambino's left it behind to pursue music.

Curb Your Enthusiasm? Arrested Development? Frasier? Eastbound and Down? It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Life on Mars USA?

OK, the last one isn't a comedy. But it is ****ing hilarious.

They made a US version of Life on Mars?
Why can't they just use the original version without trying to basterdize everything?

I wouldn't watch any of them if I was paid, and I desperately need money.

Really? You don't like any of those shows at all?

And yeah, I dont get remakes. I know US networks will show originals as well but I dont understand the need for a remake of a lot of it. It's not something we really do. We do it with formats, like game shows etc. But remakes of series seem to be far rarer.
