Cleaning up after cats is torture and because we live in an apartment where we aren't supposed to have pets and have no utility room we have to hide the catbox in my closet and I'm not a fan of that at all.
But at least cats are potty trained, nothing worse than stepping on dog sh*t. My 2 cats are actually pretty loving and attention starved, but not as annoyingly so as dogs. My mom has 5 indoor cats (and countless outdoor ones) and they're all very playful and energetic, well except two that are really fat and laze around a lot. But each one has their own distinctive personality. |

Was thinking less of 'mauling' as such, more of scratching! I've always found that dogs have a lot more patience with this sort of thing than cats. But then, I've always looked for dogs that are ok with kids anyway, being that I have loads of neices and nephews. There's no way I'd go down the pitbull/staff line - always nice, gentle dogs. People who are surprised when their Rottweiler suddenly takes a chunk out of their kid after the kid's been poking it with sticks for an hour still gets me...

Hey I've been scratched by cats so much that I don't even flinch anymore when it happens, scratches dont really hurt that much.
Dog bites do though. I can never be terrified of a cat like I can be terrified of a dog. Rottweilers and Pitbulls are never dogs I'm comfortable being around. |

i wrote a big post about why cats rock and dogs suck but it was lame so i'm posting a picture of me and my cat instead.
oh, and my unpopular non-musical opinion for today is that salty treats are much tastier than sugary treats
