Horror/Comedy fans?

Anyone horror fans here? Thought I'd ask. Who's your favorite slasher?

Nothing beats Freddy Krueger. Think about all the other movies. None of the other movies have the style like Fredz. Like when he killed the deaf kid in Freddy's Dead. LMFAO. I never laughed so hard at a horror movie. Or that scene in Freddy vs. Jason- "Got your nose-haha".

no one is as purely evil as freddy. remember, he was a child molester in the films before he was killed? he was one scary mofo.

Switchblade Romance is a great French slasher film. Got some interesting deaths in it.

Sneer 03-07-2005 02:49 PM

i love horror films but im not so much a fan of the slasher sub-genre. genuinly, the blair witch project unsettled me a lot. classics like the exorcist, jacobs ladder, texas chainsaw massacre, braindead.

The Jap/Korean horrors are far better than anything out of Hollywood. If you fancy a really sick film watch the Visitor Q. It's got all the taboos in one film.

:yeah: There's this one Jap/Korean movie with this creepy girl in it, and she tortures all these different people. It's really good. I think it's called "The Audition" or something. Go watch it.

Sneer 03-07-2005 03:53 PM

japanese horror seems to like young girls.

Anarchy doll 03-07-2005 05:50 PM

I just watched Freddy vs.Jason last night!
my fave horrors are: Scream, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psyco(the origional), The Birds, Milo, and Bram Strokers Dracula.

theres no more comedy horrer. that was a great genre. sure it was the 80's, but such classics as evil dead1 and 2 and i drink your blood. sure theres stuff like chucky out there, but thats got nothing on the 80's or earlier movies.
i drink your blood for example. a group of satanic hippies torment a small town, then the little kid gives them rabies. nothing can top stuff like that. nothing.

on the subject of comedy (going off on a tangent I know), but I've found how Spiderman gets his spidey sense:

Yeah seen Audition.Miike Takashi is the director. One sick ****. He did a horror musical, Happiness of the Katakuri's, Sound of Music meets Dawn of the Dead. Shaun of the Dead is good, done by the geniuses that did Spaced.

Soundgardener 03-08-2005 08:42 PM

I am with who ever enjoys laughing at slashers.

Funny story about that. So me and some friends went to the calgary stampede last summer (huge outdoor festival thing with a huge amusement park, games, rodeo's etc). Anyways, we decided to go into this haunted house thing, and the beginning of it was a porch type thing which was entirely visible to people outside waiting in line. So me and two friends are walking along, and through a barred window (no glass, just air between the bars), we see a guy dressed as the clown from 'it'. The clown goes to jump at the window and bang his hands on the bars, only one of his hands slipped, and he punched my friend tyler (hard) right in the face. Tyler and the clown look at eachother for a bit, then tyler gets this sadistic look on his face, and screams "YOU'RE GONNA DIE CLOWN!!" (a la adam sandler in happy gilmore when he couldnt beat the clown hole in minigolf) and chases the clown all the way down this porch thing. Such a great moment.

All_Nite_Dinah 03-13-2005 09:00 AM

Not a slasher by any standards but the legendary worse movie of all time.......PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE!!! Easily one of my favortie movies ever. Any movie that has 10 continuity errors in like 5 minuites is garunteed awsome.

Greg 03-29-2005 11:30 AM

Finally got Ichi the Killer. Huge film. Great torture scene. I want a pair of his boots now.
