Cool can be mainstream? You forgot this is musicbanter, we're all elitist pricks but Lyla is a nice name, I'll admit. But Lydia is also my second favourite band. So it's just perfect.

I've never heard of the band Lydia but I'm sure its nice and depressing I prefer Lyla to Lydia, but they're really quite similiar. Lydia seems very tame though... :/

Thats not true! I liked that first song you sent me, but Rufus never really did it for me. Did you ever like any of the music I recommended? I think it was only that Arctic Monkeys stuff though..

Trying Hospital

Haha, you know it makes sense that he doesn't do anything for you, seeing that he's gay and all, lol. Oh but yes, I actually did like that Arctic Monkeys stuff, humph

And I think you'd like it

I'm feeling quite smug now What did you like of theirs? My favourites are 505, Mardy Bum, Who The ****'s Arctic Monkeys? (if you havent heard this, listen to it now!) and Cornerstone.

Definitely an improvement here. Hospital was nice, I liked the style of the song. Sort of reminded me of Glasvegas without the prominent accent Same sort of style of music, just different kinds of voices.

You like feeling smug, don't you? So far I only listened to the songs that you recommended, and I really enjoyed them 505 I think is my favourite so far though. (Listening to Who the Fuck's the Arctic Monkeys now)

I love that track, one of my favourites from them, as well as many others

Because its depressingish and sweet? Feel free to correct me

I'm sorry? Its perfectly pleasant music but doesnt really speak to me or anything. I see why you'd enjoy it but its a bit.. boring to me. It didnt stand out to me, like, for example, the Arctic Monkeys do with their lyrics, or Bruce Springsteen (dont know why this came to mind?) with his feel-good music.

Well, how can I say no to depressing?

Haha, but it's ok that you don't like them, I just happened to really fall in love them. I like everything about them, the lyrics, their voices, the music. I've been listening to them for maybe 2 years now and I still play through both their albums from time to time.
