My favourite album
Though I have many "favorite" albums, the one that had the biggest impact on me is Siamese Dream by the Smashing Pumpkins. It totally changed the way I felt about music in every sense.

My favourite lyric
Same as in my sig, "Confusion will be my epitaph as I walk a cracked a broken path. If we make it, we can all sit back and laugh, but I fear tomorrow I'll be crying." from King Crimson's song Epitaph. A little bleak, I know, but they resonate with me every time I hear that song. This is also just what first comes to mind, I have many favorite lines.

My first gig
The Red Hot Chili Peppers during their By the Way tour. Not many bands came through Singapore, so when these guys did my entire school went. It was pretty epic.

The book that changed me
"Beneath the Wheel" by Herman Hesse. It's about a boy in a small town who is basically the town genius. Everyone has such high expectations of him that during University he started to burn out, and well, the ending is a bit tragic but it really put into perspective a lot of issues I was going through when I read it. Life isn't all about work.

My favourite painting
I'm a big fan of Asian artwork, and this particular painting has always captivated me. It is located on a wall at a templie in Thailand. It is a depiction of heaven and hell.

My style icon
Not sure...umm...my own style? I really like what David Boreanaz wears in Angel, but I'm not big on fashion really.

My old home Singapore.

I don't have an all time favorite...there are so many good ones. The first one I ever really enjoyed was Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre:

My idol
I don't really have one. I hate celebrity worship and even people who have accomplished a lot usually end up being ass holes in real life.

My alter ego
Alan Shore from Boston Legal. He is every ass hole I ever wanted to be.

My favourite album: Tough one. No particular reason, but if there could only be one, then...Unknown Pleasures.

My favourite lyric: All of this song. At first glance it's not obvious, but after a few plays it becomes obvious (to me at least), that the lyrics, although simple, are everything to this song.
The unequalled depth of soul and feeling it's sung with make up for the minimalistic musical content. Every syllable, every word is heartfelt!
The realisation of falling in love again, despite the pain of a previous heartbreak is not only inspiring, but it exemplifies what soul music is all about.
Not only my favourite lyrics, but my all time favourite song too!

My first gig: Probably Santana in the late 70's.

The book that changed me: It didn't change me, but the pure feeling involved in the writing of this book is awe inspiring.
It left me with a profound sadness and a healthy respect for mankind.

Pink Floyd Animals. It sounds so different from most Pink Floyd albums , yet it encapsulates their sound better than every other album they have made.

Jackhammer, I have that painting in my house. Well, a copy obviously, but it's hanging there nonetheless. I would stare at it a lot when I was a kid.

Pataua Bay in Whangarei. I have fond memories of staying there in the summer hols with mates over consecutive years in high school.

My Latin teacher from high school. I'd be thrilled if I could be half the man he is.

My alter ego
I only discovered my alter ego last year when I was leading a team for a software project. I went from my normal quiet passive self to being motivated, confident and on top of things.

I can relate to that.
When you head up a team for a project you have knowledge in, it's a fantastic motivator. I miss being in that position, especially in the IT field. Now that I'm in school in the same field, there isn't much I can do except try to challenge the instructor as much as possible. :D
