Please don't cancel, it is pretty much the most unique and nature paradise on earth. The cities may be small and dainty but the people are generally pretty cool and we have so many things to do. I <3 NZ

Your opinion though, the cities are so different in so many ways they can't even begin to be comparable, I like Edinburgh even more than any city I've ever been in, including Beijing, London, Glasgow, Malta (cant remember capital name ), Istanbul, Madrid. I just love the oldness, esp old town cos it's so medievil . Haven't you seen the sweet little cobblestone roads and narrow little streets, so cutesy but I do apreciate your opinion as I've obviously never been out of europe (except asia once) but I do imagine Melbourne to be out of this world somewhat, but it'll never be home

Dont get me wrong. I think Edinburgh is beautiful. I have good memories of visiting Edinburgh when i was still quite young and I remember how excited I was to go to the castle. I used to really love going to castles, cathedrals and other sites like that and Edinburgh castle was great. I also have fond memories of Edinburgh zoo. How amazing is that place? I like Edinburgh for many of the same reasons i love Durham and Melbourne, in my experience, didnt have any of the same qualities. It is, as you say, a very different place. Melbourne was just outstanding though.
Oh and incase you dont know Durham, here you go. DURHAM CATHEDRAL DURHAM CASTLE |
