Yes, there are dangers of infection especially for the woman, according to this article, which looks quite thorough: Guide to Birth Control and Water Sex – Safe Sex Under Water - Condom Use in Pools and Hot Tubs Water Sex and Infections - Health Risks for Sex Under Water – Sexually Transmitted Diseases It talks about problems with using condoms underwater, issues with lubrication, and the higher risk of contracting vaginal yeast infections, urinary tract infections, and other infections.
