actually that is a little lake just north of Tahoe called.....

Donner Lake

and the wonderful township of Truckee....which is yearly the coldest place in California

.....its snowing right now

a great pic of the donner lake bridge on highway 40

makes for a wonderful bike ride in the spring

about 13 miles away is Sqaw Valley which is probably one of the most comparable areas....in America...to some of the better mountain areas in Europe

^also makes for a wonderful; summer bike ride
