close.....but no cigar

actually that is a little lake just north of Tahoe called.....

Donner Lake

and the wonderful township of Truckee....which is yearly the coldest place in California .....its snowing right now

a great pic of the donner lake bridge on highway 40


makes for a wonderful bike ride in the spring

about 13 miles away is Sqaw Valley which is probably one of the most comparable areas....in America...to some of the better mountain areas in Europe



^also makes for a wonderful; summer bike ride

I haven't done much traveling, but I would like to point out my favorite place in my backyard...

Letchworth State Park in Western New York is called the 'Grand Canyon of the East' and it certainly earns it's title. Not to mention, there are three amazing waterfalls, mixed with the beautiful shale gorge and the trees all along the river, especially in autumn. Enjoy!

In my own country, Scaffel Pike is the place that has wowed me the most. I think it's breathtaking in this desolate, slightly ominous way. It has a real atmosphere about it:



In terms of foreign lands, Heidelberg in Germany takes it. Amazing place:

The number of fairytale sights like that in my little town is incredible. I makes living in a little ****hole worthwhile.

Rest And Be Thankful, pretty much famous for being one of the most breathtaking views in the whole world.
