Default My Life Is Twilight

MY LIFE IS TWILIGHT

At first I laughed, then I thought hey, maybe these people are really serious. Now I don't know whether this is funny or sad...

Sad was the first word that came to mind when I saw the title of this thread.

I actually didn't read twilight and don't plan on reading it... I saw a few pages and it was enough for me. I just don't see where all the obsession comes from...

most of the people I know are just obsessed with Twilight. Even I had to buy one for a friend, so, technically, I have Twilight on my credit card account LOL

Today, my asian friend and I went to see New Moon in theaters. She dressed in full Ravenclaw attire, and during the scene where Edward was shown skipping in the field with Bella, she got up and screamed "Cedric?! Is that you?!?! What are you doing with that muggle? Don't you remember the Yule Ball? I THOUGHT WHAT WE HAD WAS SPECIAL!!!!" and ran out of the theater in tears. Best. Friend. Ever. MLIM.
^^That one was win.

Oh my...

I admit I like Harry Potter but it was many years ago when I started to read it in czech... Now it's good easy book to practise english.

But Twilight... No interest. But it's funny to see how many new books now about vampires are best-sellers

Ha ha! I think the "Twilight is my Life" site is hysterically funny and cute because people reveal their obsession with the fictional characters. I remember when I first realized that the vampire was the Cedric character from Harry Potter, so the quote you listed was very amusing.

I liked this quote among many others:

Quote:
Today there was frost on the ground, so when the light hit it it sparkled. I was walking into school with my brother, and he suddnley got uber exctied and said...'THE GROUND IS LIKE EDWARD'S SKIN!!!' I will never look at frost the same again!
I first looked at Twilight, the book, several years ago to try to figure out what all the buzz was about, and read a few pages. I thought...meh, it doesn't really grip me, and so I didn't read more.

Then this year I decided I'd try again to figure out what about the story appeals to people, but instead of the more laborious reading I watched the movie Twilight. Within a month I'd read all 4 books, although I struggled through the 4th, which I felt got quite long and repetitive because the characters seemed so unchanging...as if they were stuck in stereotypical behavior.

One negative I see overall with the series is that it seems to have a very limited focus such that once I'd read all the books, they left me with little to think about and didn't linger in my mind. But the series does base itself on themes that are commonly well-liked in literature and movies: "star-crossed" lovers. And pretty male actors. And super-protective hero-like males. I liked the overall feeling of the movie "Twilight"...great music, too. I preferred the movie Twilight to the book.

Having read all the books, I can understand all the references in the "Twilight is my Life" comments, which makes them extra funny.

i don't know if i should be happy that people are reading or if i should be scared at how easy it is to distract people with utter crap.
