It does seem a bit un-professional. Like I say, it is a bit stupid, and it is only socks, but the line has to be drawn somewhere.

Well it's not a very humorous situation being carted off in an ambulance after a heart attack or something. I can understand someone being a little less at ease being treated by someone wearing novelty socks.

I think that's rubbish. If I saw funny looking socks at I was in pain, it would comfort and distract me. And seriously, who actually would be inspecting someones socks? I'm more of a face kind of girl.

Given the horrors that ambulance crews must witness on a regular basis, can't they be allowed a little sunshine in their lives in the form of novelty socks?
