Yeah it's a bit of an eye-opener. There just don't really exist places in Ireland at least, and certainly in those parts of the UK that I've seen, that are allowed fall into such a state of disrepair. There are worse off areas, and places where the buildings can be a bit run down, but nowhere where you'd get entire streets of abandoned houses.

Yeah, Camden's pretty bad. I used to take the bus through there every day, which was kind of depressing. I believe it has the highest crime rate in the US. I'm sure that doesn't come as a surprise given what those pictures look like. It's yet another sad example of what happens when all the industry leaves an industrial city.
