I hear Italian pizzas are very different from 'American' ones. My father is Italian and their pizzas are always thin-based, not thick and stuffed with cheese and stuff. They also don't put things like pineapple or BBQ chicken on them - it's usually things like tomato, different types of cheese, herbs, salami, olives, occasionally potatoes... My relatives think pineapple on pizza is just bizarre.
