And, yeah, it's down by the printworks. Never had any trouble down there myself, but that's probably because I always go there in a group of 5 or 6 people.

I've never had trouble there, not been a lot mind you. A lot of people I know go to Tiger Tiger, you ever been? I always thought it looked a bit shite so never bothered with it

I used to go to the one in Aberdeen any night I could back when I lived up there. Never knew there was one in Manchester though. If it's anywhere near as good as the one I used to go drink myself blind in, I've definitely gotta get my arse down there some night.

Speaking of which, if anyone's got any questions about Aberdeen (Scotland), I haven't been back there in two or three years, but I'm sure I'll be able to remember something about it.

2 t-shirts for anything below zero.

Remember...we don't like whinging Aussie/Anzacs moaning about our weather!

Just keep your head warm and your feet dry and you'll be fine.

Ha! Likewise, we don't like the English whining about our (Australian) weather! 30 C degrees is not hot! ;)

T-shirt weather are you kidding?! I don't take my jumper off until it is at least 18 degrees C. Anything below 16 degrees C is quite cold in my perspective... so pretty much I am going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Which reminds me, before I started studying in NZ I did a bit of touristy things, which included going in a helicopter and landing on a glacier, which was SO BLOODY COLD. I was literally in about 5 layers of clothes. Yet there were some poms (I use that term affectionately, don't kill me) on the tour who were wearing Hawaiian t-shirts and shorts! It amused me.

T-Shirts and shorts on a glacier? That's not something you'd see on Svalbard :p:

The coldest single thing I've ever done which didn't include getting progressively colder over a very long period of time was jumping in the sea up at the north polar ice sheet. We were standing on sea ice at about 80,5 degrees latitude and the water had a sub-zero temperature. I really didn't want to do it, but then my girlfriend said she'd do it .. of course I had to go before she did.

In the end, I got a warm shower and a diploma though, so all in all it wasn't too bad. :D

I'm going to Italy next Spring Break. What's the weather like there?
I'm in Texas so it gets into the 100's F here.

Depends if it's the or south you're off to. The south's probably about as warm as Texas, the north not so much (although it's still pretty warm there from what I recall).
