We get meat and other products from animals, it's only fair they get something back, f.ex a happy life with minimal suffering.
Very true. I just find it especially cool that some people kill bugs for no good reason. I don't kill bugs that come into my house, but I can understand it more if people are scared of bugs and kill them out of fear. When it's something completely harmless they're completely neutral towards in terms of fear, it just seems really unnecessary to squash it "just because".

I don't care if they eat it in front of me, honestly. It's the whole thinking it's humorous to taunt while doing so. It's not even that they're eating meat while they taunt so much as the fact that they're bothering me about it to begin with. I've not commented on their eating meat, and I'm not sitting there in silent judgment of what they're eating. It's just really rude for them to do something to try to get a rise out of me. I guess it's just the principle of the thing.

Exactly. I'm not one of those vegetarians that preach to people about eating meat, and I actually feel bad when people ask me if it's okay to eat meat in front of me because I would never want to make them feel uncomfortable. That's why it bothers me that people- my "FRIENDS" would literally go out of their way to make ME feel uncomfortable. I just don't understand it.

No, there are so many people that do it. I'm pretty sure every vegetarian has at least one person they know that do that almost everytime, even if they aren't a friend.

A person who doesn't respect your reasonable choices doesn't deserve your respect. Idiot-free zones are rare.

Yes but I'm not going to go against my morals because someone deserves it. I don't believe in preaching vegetarianism.

I'm not suggesting you should. I'm just saying fortify yourself with the knowledge and don't let it get you down.

It doesn't get me down, I just think it's rude.

Maybe it's just fun to get a rise out of you. Do you reward that behavior?

Yes. I start crying and run away.
And then I write "Save the cows" on their foreheads.
